hi, my name is D.

so, at some point this will house a lot more writing than it does currently, it's really just a placeholder these days. for now, check out flickr, blog, etc., for examples of what I've got online. I researched fandom and the internet for my masters degree, and ancient sexuality for my undergraduate. some day I'd like to follow-through with the insane desire to write a popular history book about Patroclus titled "the Vanishing Spirit".

I've written, in no particular order: a comic book script about modern myth, starring Alice in Wonderland at a funhouse; a mockumentary script about celebrity, fame, and cult status; a lot of shitty poetry; some short fiction; and half a pilot script that never went anywhere about the end of the world.

I like: Chicago, bbqs, Beck, Fall Out Boy, New York, London, pretty much all BioWare games, ReGenesis the show, Allen Ginsberg, flavoured martinis, Cobra Starship, comic books like Hellblazer and Sandman Mystery Theatre, the Counting Crows, movies like Transformers and Lars and the Real Girl, pop culture in all its guises, 3-day music festivals, ancient myth and literature, mythography, CSI, and Toronto. one day I'll settle down.
